Museums under the Ministry of Tourism are free of charge today May 18-24 is celebrated as International Museum Week. In this context, museums and ruins affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will be free of charge today. The day that art lovers and history lovers have been waiting for has arrived. Special events will be held in museums during the International Museum Week. 212 museums and 144 archaeological sites in Turkey under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism can be visited without paying a fee. Among the places that can be visited are Çanakkale Troy Museum, Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Istanbul Galata Tower. With free visits, it is aimed to increase interest in museums and carry them into social life. Last year, museums and ruins were visited by 30 million 932 thousand 948 people.
