Historical artifact smuggling operation in Aydın: 2 arrests In Aydın, 2 suspects allegedly involved in smuggling historical artifacts were detained. Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams carried out an operation in Akköy Neighborhood of Didim district. 2 suspects were arrested in the operation. During the search, 10 small-sized objects, 2 coins, bells and detectors, which are considered to be historical artifacts, were seized. The pieces, which were considered to be historical artifacts, were delivered to the Aydın Museum Directorate for examination.
